Originally from Australia, Shannon now lives in the Central Drakensberg region of South Africa with her husband, Glenn. They commute between several mission projects in Kwa-Zulu Natal, plus frequently travel further afield when teaching opportunities arise.
Shannon studied Occupational Therapy at the University of Queensland before entering the mission field in 2008 and completed the School of Biblical Studies with Youth with a Mission in 2010. She has worked with Christian organisations in East and Southern Africa teaching on Inductive Bible Study and co-founded the NGO Redefined Ministries International in 2011. Redefined Ministries continues its community development work in Mahagi Territory, Democratic Republic of Congo; Shannon remains on the Australian oversight board.
